Headquarters Historic Event Venue

This newer event venue, opened in 2018, is situated in an older building, built in 1870(!) at the south end of Monmouth St. in Newport. The inside features exposed bare and white-painted brick, wood flooring, and tin ceilings, and has won Newport’s 2018 Historic Preservation Award for it’s outstanding work showing off the building’s character from the past 150 years. Antiques throughout the build further enhance the rustic, historic vibe.

Affordable DIY-Focused Small Venue

Headquarters is a smaller space, with a seated guest capacity of 100 (up to 200 people standing), perfect for a small ceremony or reception, or rehearsal dinner. Geared towards DIY couples, this space is affordable particularly for an urban venue, at just $100/hour with a four hour minimum. This rate is charged to both setup and cleaning time as well as your event’s scheduled length. This event space aims to be not just a wedding venue, but a community gather place, and as such has non-profit rates available as well.

Features and Facts About Each Rental

Included with each rental are tables, chairs, and linens. There are no preferred or mandatory caterers or other vendors so you can create exactly the event that you want. A BYOB policy applies to private events. They happily welcome LGBTQ+ couples and events.

This space is at the front of the build as you enter. Exposed brick, tin ceilings, and wood flooring dominate the interior. Through the doors at middle-left, you enter the back room.

One great feature of the rental times is that the hours can be split up. For instance, if you plan on having your ceremony at a church and your reception immediately after, you can schedule two hours in the morning for decorations, and then your reception and clean-up that evening, without having to pay for the “dead” hours between finishing your setup and the start of your reception. This is a rare option and it’s nice to see their commitment to being an affordable reception hall.

There is ample free parking nearby in lots across the street and around the corner from the building, along with street parking, some spots free and others paid. This is a handicap accessible venue. The space has HVAC for year-round comfort.
